Crawfish shack in ATL

Moved to TN 4 yr ago. Miss eating good crawfish
Visiting ATL this weekend and sitting at the shack waiting for mudbugs and shrimp po boy.

I read online this place was the real deal. Hope so and about to find out.

Will report back after I eat.

7.50 per pound.

Not bad especially being some of the only crawfish in four years.

I hope they are really good! I never even heard of this place. I just went to his website and read his story. I will plan to pass thru there to take a client to lunch soon.

The crawfish were smallish, and I think they were overcooked.

The shrimp po boy was pretty good and my wife said her soft shell crab po boy was good as well.

I think I would try the crawfish one more time, but if they were not better than this one time I would not go a 3rd time.

I ate there recently hopping to taste home but it really disappointed. First problem is they don't serve beer. Second problem is the people working there act like nazis to you. Third problem is my buddy got sick and had to throw up from eating their crawfish. I really wish it was better but I don't think I'll be going back.

This the place on Buford Hwy?

I moved to Lawrenceville, just outside ATL a few months ago ... a native Louisianian who randomly befriended me at the local Publix suggested the place.

I couldn't tell you how they tasted, because when i showed up, they had a line out the door as if they were givin' out disaster food stamps in the joint ... for $7.50 a pound crawfish!!!

I left, went to one of them international farmers' markets, got 10 pounds of live LOUISIANA crawfish for $3.50 a pound, and boiled them bad boys on my back patio.

Also a good way to welcome myself to the neighborhood, let the neighbors know what time it is, and establish myself as the "Alpha Neighbor."

I promise they were better than the ones they were selling, cheaper, and i probably had them on the table in my back yard sooner than they woulda called my number waiting in that mob of a line.
