Is $900 a good deal for a mark IV series 70? 2005 yr model.

Not a good deal at all, series 70's can be had for about $700

I like the plain jane blued ones, like older military ones. This one fit the bill but price seemed high.

Some people are trying to take advantage of the high prices right now and jack up the price on a "non-ban" gun. Keep a watchful eye. (or a whispering eye )

That's one I still don' have. I had the chance to get one of the Springfield GIs years ago but was trying to hold out for a Colt.

Yeah optimally i end up with an old but still shootable WWII colt us army, that would be my dream 1911.
