If L'ville makes the title game, I hope they dress him out and there's a situation where he can come in and make a free throw or something.

Simple question, not trying to flame, but why are people acting like Kevin Ware died or will never be able to play sports again?

It's a gruesome injury that happened on national television, I get that, but at the end of the day, it is just a broken leg.

Even the Louisville fans that I work with think everything has been blown out of proportion.

What's your all's take?

Are you allowed to bring crutches out onto the court?

American media is in control of the public's mind

In 2008 at the final four practice, rodrick Stewart fricking broke his patella and just got absolutely destroyed after landing a dunk attempt. He was like the 8th man for Kansas and woulda played and shite. Guess how many people cared at all? It wasn't as gruesome or on live tv and shite but it was probably a worse injury honestly and had the same repercussions (not being able to play in final 4, etc..)

My long winded point is that the media drives absolutely everything that people think. The coverage and live aspect of wares injury create a whirlwind of people caring about shite they would never know about if it was less gruesome.

Also, Kevin ware has been a bad arse about it and deserves the support and I truly support his rehab and hopeful comeback.

It was definitely the live coverage of it. When you actually see it happen, I think it makes you care.

Out of sight, out of mind kind of thing.

Yep, it was different in that it was so gruesome and it's just not something the average person sees happen in front of their eyes everyday.

It's funny, I was watching sportscenter this morning and they were talking about danillo galinari fricking up his knee or leg or something pretty bad. They even said "this is pretty bad folks so look away if you're squeamish", then they showed it like 5 times!! I was like "really ESPN? You're gonna make statements about not showing kevin ware and then interview him and make it into a national story, but when a legit star for an NBA team who's about to make a playoff run loses someone to a freak leg accident you show it without care?"
