They should probably just go ahead and shutter the university. It's what's best for all involved.

Yep, lets shut down the University.

At the very least they need to tear down the basketball arena.

Call Louis Freeh - maybe Sandusky is involved.

ESPN gonna ESPN in their new world order.

Does anyone know if the coach changed his ways after the suspension?

I was indifferent on the ball coach, but this is total BS that the AD will be fired. He punished the guy earlier this year, 3 game suspension and a $50,000 fine. That's not chump change.

And why is all of this happening? Because some deuchebag that went to a basketball camp after he was told not to by his boss did not get his contract renewed after it ended.

Nice job ESPN.

The AD was up for National Athletic Director of the Year.

Meanwhile, Brian Kelly and his AD still have a job, even though 2 people died.

This, although him firing the coach, was absolutely the right call. It was a pretty prompt firing of Rice as well.

Firing the AD, I don't agree with at all.

if firing the coach is the right call, it should've happened instead of the fine and suspension. Firing the coach because ESPN airs a video IS NOT the right call. Firing him for physically abusing student athletes IS the right call.

The AD mishandled this ordeal. If he fires Rice as soon as he sees the video instead of the fine/suspension, then he would have done his job correctly. I have no problem with them firing the AD. He only did his job because ESPN forced his hand.

Gays and liberals are jumping for joy. They now rule everything and they call all the shots.

The crazies have won. Tim pernetti actually cared about the athletes at rutgers, none of these politicians and witch hunters do. Its a sad sad day for the university.

This is a bully-abuse issue.

Why are people fixated on making this a gay issue?

Did Penn St fire their AD?

Am I the only one who thinks this is all ridiculous as shite? I don't even think the coach should have lost his job. If he was a winner, it would've been swept under the rug.

A US university has bowed to pressure to sack its head basketball coach over footage of him physically abusing players and screaming homophobic slurs.

This is an example of the first sentence of most of the articles written about the firing. As if "screaming homophobic slurs" is a fire-able offense.
