Well, we'll see what Cam can do. The Clemson game sucked out a lot of optimism for the 2013 season but I'm a lot more excited now. We'll see.

Most guys who play RB and WR in their college careers don't throw the ball. Even wildcat guys hardly ever throw.

My biggest mystery is how come some LSU fans see this as a big mystery.

My second would be Mississippi in 2009, but the biggest mystery of all time in SEC fooball is how did ULM beat Alabama.

If anyone should have thrown the ball it should have been J Mitch

My question is: What would have been a viable 'option B'? Lee throwing picks? Zach with limited mobility? I don't know.
While neither one may have improved our fortunes, what we were doing was failing spectacularly. Toward the end of the game, but while it was still within reach, what in the world did we have to lose by trying something, anything, different?

Fair enough and true. Might have been a worse loss but at least go down swinging. I don't know, maybe Coach Miles will write a book one day and let us know if there really was a locker room Peyton Place and other such things.

Lee wasn't different. Alabama owned him. Zach wasn't ready.

What we should have done was replace every offensive line guy who wasn't blocking worth a shite. Wait---that was all of them!

Nevermind

he's a decent coach. with these resources, recruiting grounds, open checkbook, many a coach could have done this job.

anyhow..... :beatdeadhorse: :beatdeadhorse:

I always wondered what's his go to drink after a tough game. Is it whiskey or vodka or maybe even gin.

My question is how do you see him get destroyed in the SEC Championship and KNOW that Saban is going to do the EXACT same thing, yet you don't prepare at all.

Kind of like how he saw Lee get destroyed by Bama over his entire career, including 2011 when everyone is saying he was so great??

LSU loses to Bama on 11/5 and doesn't play on 1/9 if Lee was our best option against that team. Period.

Yes, Miles' plan, due to having two woefully outmatched QBs, was to keep the game close and not turn the ball over and wait until a big special teams or D play got us in position to win at the end, just like on 11/5 and the SECCG.

It just didn't happen. By the time Bama went up by 15 in the 4th, the Bama D was swarming so bad that Lee may have actually shite his pants while on the sideline. Seriously, they kept showing him, did he look like he wanted anything to do with that D???? Not that I blame him with the way our OL was playing.

The story of 2011 should be how the hell Miles and Krag got that team through that schedule to 13-0 with two very very mediocre QBs at best. It's the best coaching job I've ever seen at LSU if not anywhere.

But now it's 1/9 because they coached that team so far over their heads that they were exposed when faced with The Rematch. They were a victim of their own success.

Had they dropped any game in the season other than Arkansas or SECCG and ended up as an 11-1 Sugar Bowl rep and destroyed Michigan, that would probably be regarded as Miles' crowning achievement.

Instead, he's a goat instead of the GOAT.

And for all the "the O got worse after JJ" crowd, JJ had the best game of any LSU QB in 2011 against Arkansas against the #3 team in the country with everything on the line and against a better D than Lee faced all year.

But again, why let facts get in the way of personal preference

I hear what you're saying, but the JJ gameplan was embarrassingly futile, and was clearly not gonna win the game. If you try Lee or Zach and lose worse, so what?

MIles did not inherit these QBs. he did a horrific job or recruiting QBs and also the development of. he had/has that Big 10 mentality of good defense and running the ball would be enough.

You mean the same Arkansas defense that gave up 24 points to Ole Miss and 28 points to Vanderbilt?

Florida, WV, and Miss St had a better defense than Arkansas in 2011.

, I think he was worse vs. UGA. so why you wouldn't be ready to put in Lee in case he shite the bed again is beyond me.

because he saw what happened every other time JL faced a swarming defense. Mett wasn't an option either as evidenced by the way he played last season early on. Mystery solved.
