I understand it perfectly. I didn't want him as a every down quarterback.

Mine has to be the fact that Russell Shepard never took a snap at QB or threw a pass for that matter.
I better not hear anyone say he couldn't throw. Evidence at the 2.20 mark of that vid & beyond.
I watched him throw in person in practice for the entire spring. He was not a good passer at all. Threw ducks came up short couldnt let it loose quick enough. yall thought JJ was bad but Shep was terrible.
I get so sick of hearing that well he could throw look he makes it rain on random white kids in HS why couldnt he do that against the best talent in the country!?!

What's the real story on Miles to Michigan in '07? Did Herbie make the whole thing up or just break the story prematurely so that Miles was in the position of denying it or abandoning his team on the morning of the SECCG?
We'll never really know.
This is by far the most intriguing to me.
Even as a huge Miles fan and supporter, I never believed he'd turn down Michigan if they came calling. And I would not have blamed him for a second.
In fact, I said at the time he was making a mistake because he was NEVER going to win over that small but vocal portion of the fanbase that just hate him, and believed his tenure would end badly at some point.
Still, I am thrilled he's our coach, but would love to know how it all went down.
I believe he would have left had Herbie not brought the conversation up before the SECCG.
So, thanks Herb!! At least we didn't get stuck with Rich Rodriguez, which the rantards would have LOVED :

this, to me, is what the typical LSU fan has become. you know, forgetting the outcome of who actually won the game and focused on the non important stuff.

How he hasn't gotten even one QB he recruited to be at least an average d-1 player.
Well he's only had 2 before he got rid of Crowton, so Gary Crowton is my answer.
Mett was at least average last year working with Krag and will be much better than average working with Cam

Again I'm talking trick plays/wildcat.
Also, I'm sure he only made it rain again midget white kids.

I have a Top 3 Les Miles Magical Mystery Tour list...
1. What happened at that BCS championship debacle of January 9, 2012?
2. Did he or did he not get an offer from Michigan that he is credited with turning down in 2007?
3. What happened in those two ridiculous bowl losses, versus Penn State and Clemson?
Honorable Mention:
4. His fixation on JJ as LSU's best hope at QB.

Jesus Christ. And that, Les, is why you should have rolled your happy arse to Ann Arbor and never looked back.
2 bowl games losses by a total of 5 points both to 10 win teams = "ridiculous". Gotcha.

U need to look at the bowl loses in the last 4 years!

Obviously. Context and perspective not welcome in a Miles bashing thread

They should do a 30 for 30 on what happened that night in Oxford, MS.

was talking about the championship game. Allthough we were getting stomped on, we really weren't that far behind on the scoreboard at halftime.

1/9/12 and there is no debating that.
ETA: I'm pretty much over it and don't drag it on like some here, but it still pisses me off to think about it. I think Miles is headed in the right direction with the hiring of CC.

Honestly, why does everyone keep saying that??
We had a bad game plan and every single player played like shite while Bama played pretty much a perfect game in their do over.
Sure it sucked, but what's the big mystery?? Great teams, players, coaches have shitty games all the time. It happens.
Oh, and if your question is why didn't Lee play, just go back and watch the First Game of the Century, or any other game Lee played against Bama aside from one pass at the end of the game in 2010.
Mystery solved
