Davon Godchaux- LSU Interest?

Saw that this player already has offers from Louisiana, La Tech, Miss, etc. Also, noticed he doesn't have an offer from LSU and appears to be raw. How good is this player and do you think LSU will eventually offer? Who is LSU trying to get at DE this year?

Waiting on his grades to improve before an offer is extended. He's a player.

The current offers(aside from the UF one he just got) will be meaningless after the spring when coaches get out and see him. He'll have many great choices to choose from. We're gonna have to offer before we'd like most likely just to keep the wolves at bay. He completely understands the situation with LSU but sometimes kids can get a little hurt when other schools are willing to take the risk and some aren't and hold a grudge. I don't think he's one of those kids and will be a Tiger if/when offered but the staff is gonna have to tread carefully on this one because other schools will be all over him soon. I think DT as well but could see him sticking outside.

Yeah no doubt they are playing him right now like he is a commit. Trying to keep him happy, but also trying not to mislead him.

I'm from plaquemines and know his family.. The kid has great potential but is VERY raw from a technique standpoint because of a lack of specific position coaching.. I know the kid's been a LSU fan for awhile, but him and his parents are going to take their time to figure out the best place for him... However, I wouldn't consider him an LSU lock by any means

Correct me if Im wrong but isnt Godchaux a Plaqaumine High Iberville Parish guy? Which is nowhere near south plaq......
