tis a silly rumor.

Arsenal has right of first refusal on Cesc + we get half of the sale.

We give Barca 13 million for him and they still get more than they would with 25 from ManU.

Haha, I would hate this because Cesc is awesome when not wasting away at Barcelona but the Arsenal meltdown would be entertaining.

Thought this would be a tabloid special, but.................ESPN and Fox Sports are both running it.

Don't see it happening at all, but I'd prance around like a school girl for weeks if that happened.

coincidental you'd post this a couple hours before his story this morning that Suarez may leave this summer

I haven't noticed anything over the past year that would cause a large decrease in credibility. for one thing, he rarely makes predictions. the only case I can remember where he lost cred in the last year was Rafa-chelsea, which was overblown. when he's come out in the past year and made a concrete barça prediction (neymar coming, David villa staying in January come to mind) it's usually been spot on.

and just to be clear, I don't think cesc would go to ManU anyways. he and song will stick around for at least one more year at Barça.

Cesc needs to demand a transfer. This is one of the best players in the world rotting away in the prime of his career on a team who doesn't know what to do with him.

there is probably no one on this board who loves and touts cesc as much as I do so you're preaching to the choir here. just don't think he leaves after only two years. if the trend from the end of this season continues though, I think he will move on next summer.

not sure he's what United need anyways. they have two awesome CAMs in Rooney and Kagawa

I doubt Cesc goes to United, but Balague has been off recently.

He hedges his predictions or bets a lot, most recently denying Rafa to Napoli almost immediately before it was announced.

He always had the biggest connections with Rafa. Always. And for him to miss out on something like that worries me (because I love him).

iirc correctly (I know it's only been a week, but bar prep...haha) he merely said that napoli's owner had overstated how close rafa was to joining napoli. which is pretty much the same thing he did in the Chelsea situation. it looks bad to say a deal isn't done yet when it happens shortly thereafter (and probably indicates rafa was using his pal as leverage) but it doesn't make the info wrong. he definitely hedges his bets on most things, which I don't mind because things change so quickly in the world of football. all I'm saying is when he staunchly predicts something will/won't happen, he seems to be right more than not. particularly wrt barça.
