Lyon interested in Gervinho on a loan deal with potential to purchase. Would be a good deal for us in all likelihood. Gervinho got more flak than he deserved, but he hasn't put it together. He can still be very effective in the Ligue 1.

apparently Arsene admitted we are interested in Lyon's playmaking midfielder Clément Grenier. though only the Mirror and Mail are reporting it so i have my doubts as to the veracity of that...

So latest news traversing the twittersphere is that Rafa is in at Napoli and Falcao is officially gone to Monaco.

I've tried to get this stickied, but no luck obviously. Things are about to start picking up, once we get some more official news I would be willing to update the OP with an "in" and "out" listing for the big clubs or at least the clubs that people on here pay attention to. Gonna be a long off season boys.

Seedorf begins managerial career at AC Milan.

That's my best guess on how the managerial carosello plays out.

Seems two of these predictions are done deals. I suppose I hope the Allegri to AS Roma one comes to fruition.

Even if I'm not completely sold on him, the pickings are getting slim and god knows we don't need yet another year of hiring a second or third choice...

Why is it so hard for Roma to keep a manager lately?

This has been the huge shortcoming of the project. The main problem is that Baldini/Sabatini whiffed on their first choices both years and took a chance on a third or fourth option.

Luis Enrique was hired after first choices (AVB, Pellegrini and Bielsa et al were among those contacted) didn't come at the time. He was in a bit over his head as far as going to an environment like Roma. From a pretty good source, the players loved him and management really wanted him to stay but he just didn't like the ultra high 24-7 pressure.

His resignation was a bit of a surprise and Baldini/Sabatini again couldn't convince their top choices (Pellegrini, Allegri, Blanc et al) and opted for Zeman who they kind of half arse supported. Seems they knew he was a huge gamble and really didn't want to revamp the roster to fit his style where needed.

What the club suffers from more than anything is lack of continuity. So, as much as I have doubts about Allegri that he's at least an established successful manager with the pedigree to weather a storm of a few bad results is a positive.

Not a fan at all... Hunt seems a very uninspiring first signing if it comes to fruition.

Looks like a decent chance that Roma will be able sell Osvaldo out of Serie A to Atletico Madrid.

Very talented player with all the potential to be a devastating #9 but all kinds of trouble controlling his behavior. I'm in the minority that's sorry to him go but the situation was getting worse by the day in Rome with his flare ups.

Looks like BvB sold Santana to Schalke and bought Sokratis from Werder Bremen.

Also looks like Deflelou (sp?) from Barca will be going on loan to BVB. Don't know the kid but people seem to be really excited about the move.

Yes, S04 will be doing their best to try and sell him out of Germany. Liverpool is actually the name I hear quite frequently, very good, young CB.

Unless Mou likes to play with strikers who are akin to lamp posts I don't think you'll be chasin him. Robben also will play the remaining 2 years of his contract in Munich. Ribery signed a 2 year extension keeping him in Munich for 3 more seasons and more than likely the end of his career. He'll be pretty old when that's over with.
