Our BOB's are packed with essentials and as many luxury items as we can carry. Mine wears around 50lbs, but I can carry it 12 miles a day at least through mountainous terrain. The wife and kids are each about 25. We occasional grab ours and go for the weekend with nothing else. It's the best way to decide what you REALLY need.

do you pack tampons? serious question..

This is also something we hoard. We have a business that sales certain home items. We buy in bulk so we always have a large inventory of female hygiene products, toilet paper, soap etc. With recent inflation it's been a damn good investment too.

Generator puts off heat signal and sound. How are you getting fuel? Who else knows about your bug out location? was it someone elses lease before yours or did your family buy the land? Chances are somebody knows where your camp is and is going to make a bee line for it also. A lot you guys don't take that into account.

I have a camping bag that I use for camping. I also use it on hunting trips when the cabins are full and I have to sleep in a tent.

Could it also be used as a bug out bag? Yes, I keep enough food in it for 10 days and a couple of bottle waters. But currently it never has been used for the purpose.

13-17 total including family and friends on all 4 sites.. 7-9 of those wouldn't even think about our places

i'd much rather ride stuff out up here in Va than in La, and don't ask my why.. but whoever is riding shite out in Venice i trust, once again.. don't ask me why.. the other La spot is south of Plaqumeine

Nope. My home is totally self-sufficient. (food, water source, weapons/ammo, etc.)

Enough fuel to provide electrical power a couple weeks for a short-term hunker-down.

a get home bag in each vehicle
Now that's something I haven't thought about.

I guess that would be water and extra ammo for whatever weapon I normally keep in the vehicle?

Any other thoughts on "get home bag?"
