If not, then what was the point of using them while fighting? If he never intended to kill anyone, wouldn't they have just got in his way? Or were they for defensive purposes only? Out of all the movies and cartoons, I only remember a few times when he tried to stab Shredder, but failed. Comics maybe?

These aren't graphic novels man... they are kid's comics. And if he tries to stab Shredder and succeeds, well that pretty much ends the comic series. You got to have him fail to keep the series alive.

I mean, I can't think of a time when Raphael stabbed anyone with his sais. It's a kid's show, dude. They aren't going to show a bunch of people getting axed.

I remember the first movie to be a little dark, but I'm not talking about going all Kill Bill one everyone, just was wondering if he ever slipped up and took someone out.

Why didn't Corey Feldman voice Leonardo?

What's up with that?

Haha, kids show dude. You can't have the turtles slicing some dude up and then ripping his heart out. Same reason Captain Planet didn't rip mother fricker's heads off.

He kills people in the comics.

Captain Planet didn't rip anyone's head off because he was too busy being an eco-terrorist by destroying factories, stopping legal foresting operations, and ruining America.

Millions more watch TV. Leonardo could have been a pizza eating rapist in the comics and no one would have known.
