Damned good movie. For me this movie, along with Hud are the ultimate Newman movies. (That's not to say that his other movies were not good. Just that these two stand apart for me).

Also, it stars Newman at his handsomest! The only legit competition IMO, Mel Gibson in Road Warrior.

I love the shite out of that movie. Great stuff. Paul Newman at his best.

Never cared for it. Yeah, we get it, you are too cool for prison Paul Newman. Saw it once. Hate George Kennedy's character.

I like when they do the close up of the chick's face and they show her eyes slowly flash upwards seducingly to the inmates as if to say, 'come squeeze THESE boys.'

One of the classic lines of any movie made. It took me forever to figure out that it wasn't originally from a Guns N Roses song and that it was a guy saying it. I swore it was a woman when I first heard the song Civil War.

Strother Martin, Jr. who said the line is one of my favorite character actors of all time. Great in Butch Cassidy, the Wild Bunch, Cool Hand, and True Grit

My favorite lines from Butch Cassidy

Paul Newman (Butch): I think they're in the trees up ahead.
Robert Redford (Sundance): In the bushes on the left.
Paul Newman (Butch): I'm telling you they're in the trees up ahead.
Robert Redford (Sundance): You take the trees, I'll take the bushes.
Strother Martin (Percy Garris): Will you two beginners cut it out!
Paul Newman (Butch): Well, we're just trying to spot an ambush, Mr. Garris.
Strother Martin (Percy): Morons. I've got morons on my team. Nobody is going to rob us going down the mountain. We have got no money going down the mountain. When we have got
the money, on the way back, then you can sweat.
