Is "Mendoza" too much to ask?

I don't mean to be negative. Just wondering as good as the Tigers are, how much better they would be if everyone met this low standard.

9-0 in conference instead of 8-1?

Please dont forget to cut up the wrist instead of across it to anyone that agrees with op. (Assuming actual op is a troll)

Ross is untouchable because a catcher with his defensive skills is needed.

As for Jones, he's fine at second because he is by far our best defensive infielder and we have literally everyone else hitting lights out. If the other bats start to cool off, then we can give JaCoby the "hit or bench" ultimatum.

Yall are way too sensitive. This is one of the best teams in our history. There will however come a time when 400 hitters will cool a bit and suddenly .190 hitters are going to be a real problem. I understand they play outstanding defense and are capable of hitting a lot better but could it be time to see if anyone else can hit and play some defense? Sometimes a little bench time helps!

So the .400 hitters in your world cool off..and the .190 hitters stay cold. Sucks to be you

Here is a link to the stats. Please people....did you ever play sports? When you slump, you grab some bench, refocus, get pissed off and kick arse the next time you get the opportunity to play! It works!

No..none of us have played sports. That's why we are not worried about a 25-2 team batting .310 as a team. Otherwise we would be terrified..

I'm not trying to be the coach...we have the best one of those. I am simply asking if there is any point where you try somebody else. Catcher is crucial and commonplace to have a mediocre hitter. Infield is a different story. I just don't see how it could hurt to play another player every now and then. Doesn't mean someone has to be benched forever. Just a question, I am no coach.

I don't care. I will leave it up to the coaches.

People were calling for JJ to hit the bench when his OB% was .400! That was without a doubt premature. He has been on a down slope there though and I am thinking it could happen.

Ross isn't going anywhere.

Hitting is all about timing.

You don't get your timing back by riding the pine.

No need to put extra pressure on Jacoby by benching him...he gets enough time off during the week as it is...college doesn't play every day like in the biggies.

I agree, but your going to get ripped. I thought the word team means when one guy is not getting it done you let another team mate have a chance. It does not matter what your record is. If your not doing your job at the plate fine a spot and grab a seat.
