On fire this season. (turkeybirds)

8th hunt of the season and the 6th bird hits the ground.
Took my buddy who lives back in my hometown.. Walked in a little later than I wanted and spooked a hen off the roost. He was gobbling his head off about 100 yards to our left and ended up flying down about 150 yards in front of us..
Turns out that must have been the only hen in the area and he was down in the field all by himself.. Right then I knew it was over.. All I did was do some soft yelps and a series of purr's and he came in on a damn string! He was zig zagging in drumming and spitting the whole way. 14 paces from us he let out one big gobble facing right at us and finally got taken out... That final gobble gave me the chills.
9.5" beard

It was only 7:10 when he shot.. Fastest hunt I've ever been on.

That is another story..
Damn kid forgot his gun and this 20 gauge rossi is all I had sitting around the camp other than a .410
