The fact that doublelift got 2 quadras and had double digit kills and CLG still got pushed in, tells me I'm right.
ETA: Doublelift was the only bright spot for CLG in that game. Everyone else seemed completely out of sync.
ETA2: And to be fair, the 2nd quadra was due to some showmanship by LMQ, and an obvious misplay by Xiao by not yellow carding doublelift, but instead someone in base.

ETA: And no, you aren't right. Winning two teamfights while down over 10k gold is not "all downhill". They even got the baron after the one they gave LMQ. Like I said, they both tried to throw. CLG just threw harder.

CLG owned that game until that baron fight, and they never fully recovered afterwards.
I'm not saying CLG didn't play well considering the position they were in, nor am I saying they weren't resilient being down THAT much gold.
But they had all of the momentum prior to that Baron and they never recovered to get back to that point. To me, you've gone down hill at that point.

It was just the fact that you took that as me disagreeing with you. I flat out said CLG threw harder. But if you disagree with the fact that LMQ tried to counterthrow, then I'm not sure what game you were watching the last 10-15 minutes.

No... not at all.
I've seen several streamers do that.
They'll debate about build path and whether or not you're getting enough damage output, but it's not a dumb idea.
Check out youtube for some videos with insane plays you can make with Lucian and CDR builds.
You may want to mirror some of the LCS builds. Not too hard to skip around in an LCS match video to see the build path.
Saw a reddit thread the other day on this exact topic. There was alot of healthy debate about ER, BOTRK, Ghost, Trinity, & IE.
I've seen several streamers do that.

I personally still go atk spd over lucidity, but it really all depends on playstyle. I'm not really running CDR items on him. That may change when I get to a point where I can't get a first back BF sword every time, though. It sounds cocky, but I literally haven't had to back before 1550 gold as Lucian since the changes. His early harass is godlike. Because of that, I've been rushing IE then going into BotRK for the 1v1/tank killing potential. After that I go situational. Sometimes I go trinity, if I'm snowballing really really hard I just go straight to BF sword for the sustain and insane damage output. If you're that far ahead, a single rotation with that build will kill pretty much anything. I feel like I would go Ghostblade if I wasn't snowballing, but I really haven't been in a position where I'm not so I honestly don't know.
ETA: That being said, I'm halfway through getting CDR runes for his runepage.
ETA2: After thinking about it a bit, I think I'd go Lucidity boots if I was going to go Ghostblade. I go atk spd boots because until botrk, that's my only atk spd increase in my item build. If I were going Lucidity with my current buildpath, my ult would do nothing. However Ghostblade negates that with the active/buildpath.

People like this annoy me. Let the game play out before you start pointing out odd builds or weird laners.
I have been playing Twisted Fate ADC (bot lane) a lot lately. All in normals (team builder). I had been playing duo bot lane with a buddy, but there was a match where he went jungle so I had a random player bot lane with me.
He goes Morg, and initiates an early fight. I follow up, and die while Lucian walks away with something like 10 hp.
He instantly starts being toxic and literally sits in base the entire rest of the game talking shite about how bad of an adc I am.
We wound up winning the game 4v5 and my kda was decent especially considering I had to lane by myself and fell behind in farm because of it.

13 kills up as a team + 2 dragons coming out of laning phase, still lose because grouping was literally impossible. Not once was our team together as 5. Ever. How do you make it to Silver 2 without knowing how to group? I don't fricking get it.

Everyone has a strategy. Most of the time it's a dumb, selfish strategy, but they have one.
Whatever they were doing was probably what they do normally and weren't flexible in their playstyle.
I'm guilty of being very farm focused. Sometimes it helps me win... sometimes it makes me lose.
Vision control, grouping, and getting picks is a very powerful tool that most teams at low elo overlook.
I buy a pink ward on my first or second back... EVERY game. Every game.
But there's usually only one or two pinks on the whole map.
If people can't even grasp warding and vision control.... how do you expect them to grasp more complicated concepts?

Idk. When the other team is constantly together, it doesn't seem like it would be that hard to grasp that we need to fight 5 with 5. It pissed me off because I honestly haven't had any issues with teams grouping since I hit about Silver 3. Seemed like I finally hit a threshold. Now I'm wondering if I was just getting lucky.

Yeah I'm in a constant loop between Sil 5 and 4. I get promoted then lose my next ... games and get demoted. No matter how many times the team begs Talon to stop roaming alone and getting caught out he doesn't listen. After he dies 15 times we lose because thier Jax, Cait and elise all have 12+ kills.
