I've been learning Ahri all day. Mostly been getting shite on by counter picks. Last game I wen 4/3/7 though. First game out of 3 that I haven't fed. I think my first game I went 1/8 and my second game I went 1/7/1.

I think I've got her down decently. Back to back positive games after getting wrecked in my first two. 4/3/7 then 8/6/18.

You should try smartcasting - everything. I was a mid silver player until I practiced smart casting and am now in gold 4 heading up. I might be able to make plat, but I work offshore so I go stretches without playing.
Smartcasting makes things so much easier. I do everything although it takes awhile (and I'm not sure if it's worth it) for skill shot type spells like shen taunt, Lee sin q, Lux etc. But for any single target spell (ignite, exhaust, warwick q) it saves so much time and just makes things so much easier. Play around in ARAM or dominion and get some practice in. It helped me immensely.

It does sound like it would help me a lot. I've lost a lot of close exchanges simply because the skill doesn't cast after I click sometimes. I'm pretty quick about it, and sometimes it doesn't register in-game. Pisses me off. Especially on the auto-target spells. I remember clicking Hecarim four times before Jax jumped on him yesterday. It can be quite annoying, but I also like the control on champs like Ahri and Zed. I guess I'll just have to get used to it.

Cool, is that using smart cast or just traditional? Smart casting makes everything just like flash, wherever your mouse is (or over) it will cast too. It only took me a few dominion games to get used to it. I used LS to practice since pretty much all his abilities require smart casting if u want to be good.
U see the highlight clip of the korean use his q, in mid air drop a ward and w to it to position himself to use his r to kick the adc back to his team - just ridiculous...

Traditional. Knowing me I'll eventually pull the trigger on smart casting. How do you figure out the ranges on skill shots? Just mental picture? That's the only thing holding me back.

So if your mundo, you hover your cursor where u want to throw your cleaver. Then you press "q" and if you hold it the range indicator thing will come up so you can see your aim. There is also a way to cancel it without throwing the cleaver if you have pressed 'q' but I haven't played in 2 weeks and forget how to do it lol. But yeah, nothing to it - once you make the change you won't regret it.

nvm I got it. Played a bot game with smart cast on Ahri. Me gusta. I need to play a champ like jax tho to see how it works with auto-aim spells.

I don't really think that smart cast would be very different from traditional on Jax since his his W, E, and R don't require you to click on anything.

I was moreso thinking of the Q. But you're right. Jax was a bad example. Ryze would have been better.

I've thought about going to smartcast because it does seem easier for champs that have multiple point and click spells. I guess I play Jax a lot because I don't have to worry too much about the pointing and clicking.

Seems everyone is on a win streak right now. I won my promotion series for silver 4 and won every game since to get to my silver 3 promotional series. Been playing a lot of Jayce mid, and it is really strong. You are harder to gank than most AP mids and you farm easier.
