Expect more speedy linebackers

Here is a short video of Cowboys' LB coach Matt Eberflus (and Ryan's best friend) on Rob Ryan's defense: VIDEO
---May have anywhere from 4, 5, or 6 LB's on the field at one time to handle the spread offenses.
---Adds speed on the field to match their offensive speed
---Moves LB's around, disguising coverages on the snap, not prior to the snap
Also, a great Victor Butler article interview on Rob Ryan's scheme: the basic concept is to create mismatches
I count 3 speedy LB's on the Saints roster right now. I know it's rare for SP to address the LB position with elite LB's, but my guess the 15th pick will produce one. But even if they trade back, I expect some other LB with speed will be added via this draft.

Both good reads. It is cool to see the excitement in Butler.
So drafting another OLB is still very much an option.

Sham: ...We're of the opinion that we don't know of a defensive player who seems to be embracing (Rob's) new defensive scheme more than you. You like it, don't you?
Butler: I love it. "Like" is an understatement. I love it. It's a great scheme. [Rob Ryan] gets guys fired up. If you've got ability, he's going to play you. And when you've got a coach that trusts in you, it makes you want to go out there and perform better. It makes you want to hit the playbook harder, because now you've got people counting on you to be accountable. As a football player, as a competitor, that's what you want. You want to be held accountable.
Reading quotes from other Cowboys who played for Rob, this seems to be the prevailing theme.

Speedy OLB it is then!
Then again SP is as unpredictable as they come on Draft Day!
