woot had a great Asus ROG laptoop on yesterday for $1000.
there are some workstation laptops available especially designed for AutoCAD etc, but those are going to far exceed the budget. i think hes going to have to find the most mainstream "gaming" laptop and call it a day. Asus and MSI both make good ones.

that's what I figure. I don't know if he want to build a pc though. I sent him a link of the newegg video and told him to check it out and see if he is up for it.

the amazon link is an absolute no-go IMO. the SSD is tiny and only for booting, everything else runs off a 5400 rpm hdd.
the newegg zenbook looked like a pretty good deal. HD4000 graphics will be more than enough to push anything other than trying to game and AutoCAD

Prymus, SLi seems to working in SRIV for me. Look at my usage, around 50% easch. It is low just because I have Titans.. games like this usually don't put a load on them unless badly coded.

New MSI 780 Lightning launches.. @ around $750!! lol Look at the phases which power the GPU, WOW! Wish the Titan's GK110-400 could have a custom PCB like the GK-110-300 does. Classifieds and Lightnings will blow away Titans when overclocked because we are limited by voltage.
Ugly cooler but who cares. Anyone buying this will most likely put a block on it anyway.
