Another network question for someone visiting family. Looking to set up 2 routers across the house from the same modem. There is a hard line that runs across the house for this. Anyone have experience with this?

I have a router running behind another router in my house. Primary is time capsule and there's a Netgear on my FIL side that he uses. No issues and nothing special about the setup afaik. I didn't even know he had a router on his side until a few months ago. He had a switch replaced and the router put in.

Are they running the same network or two different ones?

Do you want two networks or just 1? If just one, you set up the second router as an access point.

Just one. I'm more consulting on this project, my brother is doing it and have trouble. Would dd-wrt help? I don't know much about it?

I'm about 80% complete with Tomb Raider, one of the better AAA titles I have played in the last 2yrs. Only major complaint is how linear it feels at times.

The thing is also a graphics hog, 2558 is my peaked memory usage with an avg around 1850. All that hair waving around hammers those Titans!

I played it for 20-30 minutes and it seemed boring. Guess I need to go back and play it one day.

I can understand, it feels very linear and forced most of the game but you are allowed to explore a little. Plus I love 3rd person games with a sense of discovery. The graphics are also absolutely amazing also.

Bottom line is I'm just happy playing something other than a shooter. Really do not like FPS games, I want to roam and discover the world while watching my character develop.

Pretty good deal on a 39" 1080p TV on newegg right now for only $199. Its a Hisense LCD TV. My roommate has one and it's pretty nice. One of the better Chinese branded TVs in my opinion

I don't think you would enjoy it, not your type of game IMO.

That tressfx is a resource hog though and actually works better on amd cards.

I play a shite load of different type of games, Gardoki, but I have struggled to enjoy linear games as of late.

My point exactly, I have seen your comments on here about linear games. Even though there is some exploring the storyline is linear.

Did you finish Witcher 2 or just lose interest in it? I'm about to fall into the latter category.

I could see that, witcher 2 is a long game. I beat tomb raider in under 20 hours and I took longer than most. Anyone use howlongtobeat.com to manage backlog? How is it?

Is it going to be worth upgrading MOBOs to get 3.0x16?

I see the new higher end AM3+ boards are finally putting it on there.

I would say only if you have deliberate plans to do 3 way gpu's.

We are trying to get the same network with 2 routers. Ill let my brother deal with it. He is in IT. He won't take my advice anyway

That's easy to do. Look up the model number of the second router and get directions on putting it in access point mode. Some routers have an easy button for it.

Then connect modem to first router's Internet port. Connect first router to second router via a normal port.

I am extremely hammered, but I'm pretty sure that's correct.
