A side panel model would be nice though. I really like them, but I think this case looks much more sleek without it

yeah it does. You also have to take the entire front panel off to clean the fan and filter. It also isn't as tall and doesn't have a huge recess like the 810 does to add the radiator on the top without losing room inside the case and also would lose a lot of room inside if using push/pull.

That's why most of the really hardcore competitive guys use PC monitors.

Also, the console guys will argue till their faces are blue that its soôooooooo much better on a 50+ inch TV. I have one. I'd rather play on an old back lit 20 inch than one of those.

That's because they haven't experienced it. I got a laptop that could play a few pc games just for the games not on console... then I fell in love, one thing led to another, yada yada yada... I'm a pc gamer now

Looks like I'm now having a bit of a hold-up in my PC part purchasing.

Been waiting for this since before the last semester so I'm kind of bummed right now.

I'm in the process of ordering parts for my new haswell build and at first I was gonna go 800D but then I fell in love with the caselabs merlin sm8.

But with the intel news that I'm gonna have to refresh all that shite in a year or so anyways, so I'm gonna just buy a smaller case and then plan a whole new build probably with the caselabs case. I am also going to gain access to a state of the art powder coating system in about 2 months and will be able to buy it with primer and then do my own shite on it.

So I've decided on using a mid tower and after over 72 hrs of staing at pictures and reviews on newegg, I;ve decided the only cases I really fell in love with other than the merlin sm8; is corsair cases.

I'm stuck between 650D
LINK

Upside:
-Beautiful Case (Exactly the look I like) IMO
-Non-Vented window

Downside:
-200mm fan in front instead of 2x120. 200mm fan up top still has 2x120mm holes behind it.

Plans:
1. Add another 120mm front fan by modding 3x5.525" bays on top and adding grille.
LINK

c70 Vengence
LINK
Upside:
-Lot's of room and versatility inside for such a cheap small case
-120mmx2 bays on top and front. Pleanty of room for two 240 RADS

Downside:
-Less Pretty than 650D IMO.
-Side window is vented, looks pretty terrible.

plans:
1. Mod solid acrylic window onto door instead of vented.
2. MOD UGLY I/o Panel with the red and yellow button. Not sure what I'm gonna do yet but something will have to be done.
3. Remove hdd bays for fans to go directly on wall with no obstruction.
LINK

I have researched this and looked at pictures of these cases to a sickening obsessive level. I'm just not sure if I want to value the inside of the case (c70) over the outside (650d)

ETA: Do you guys that still have air cooling, run at positive or negative pressure. Back in the day , I remember negative pressure being the norm to remove hot air asap; but I've been reading more recently that positive pressure is the conformed way to go now for dust reasons since the difference is negligible.

I dont really like the look of any of the other cases I've seen. I don't like my pc to look like:

-A spaceship preparing to take off (NZXT)
-A apocolyptic steam punk device
-A Neon sign
-A shape with the most possible curvatures possible
-A solid square of aluminum (I feel lian-li cases all just look so bland)

I like some of the coolermaster cases but I just fell in love with the corsair's clean but kinda elegant look.

ETA2: Hey you guys were talking about cases so I figured why not.

Have you looked at nzxt cases, switch 810 and h630 (coming out soon)? Those are some great cases

I'm not a fan of CM cases. I would choose the 650D over the C70

Edit: what does the rest of your build look like?

I run positive pressure with my Fractal R4. Virtually no dust at all builds up in the case

I actually did consider the switch 810, but I favored the brushed aluminum look of the Corsair cases. It does have a pretty good design inside though.

I want to have this thing working by the end of the first week of july for COH2 :P, so I don't want to wait on anything to come out.

This is the rest of the build:

With a 1440p monitor and second 7970 coming in the first 2 or so months.
IlikeLSU2 and a few others helped me with it; main things I changed since then are ram (same specs, different brand, for purely color reasons, and 5$ difference) and PS (might step up to the 1000w EVGA or corsair AX860i, those are the completely modular options at the price)

(I'm kinda using warmachine from marvel comics as my theme, so I'm trying to stick with black and silver colors with a tad bit of dark blue accent. I know, kinda stupid and nerdy; but frick you )

I'm not even a warmachine fan really, I just had "The War Machine" as the title to my excel spreadsheet I'm using to plan this build, and then when I was trying to select colors fo the sleeving, I googled war machine, and was like; thats pefect

I keep it balanced. That is what I got from reading about it on OCN. They have a large cooling section.

I was actually gonna buy a bundle of windows through my work and have one fall off a truck.

But enlighten me on an alternate solution :)

Eta: do you guys just run cracked versions or something?

What parts you have from that build. I'd definitely be interested in some of them
