Did Star Fox blow your mind?
Posted by Patrick O Rly on 3/28/13 at 8:47 pm00
I remember being obsessed with this game and when I finally got to rent it I stayed up most of the night. I just downloaded the rom and all I could think is "Do a barrel roll."

I liked to let Slippy die because he was so horrible.

Snes or n64?

SNES. Never played it on n64 or virtual boy. Virtual boy pissed me off. I couldn't afford it yet you weren't even afforded the pleasure of watching the game while someone played it.

I remember everyone saying it used the "FX chip" like they knew what they were talking about.
"WOW, that's awesome!"
No one had a clue, It just looked 3D.

You missed out. Go download an emulator and play it.

Virtual boy
I think I stuck my head in one at Sears when I was 9.
I had zero desire to ask my parents buy one. WTF were they thinking?

I just googled Starfox 64 to see what it looked like and I just remembered I did play it but forgot.

Dogfights on the 64 version was a chess match of half loop inverts, full loops, boosts and barrels.
Could last a while.

I don't know. Eye fatigued like a bitch. But it did offer exclusivity in more ways than one.

I think I played the tank for all of 10 seconds to know how shite it was.
I like how they gave the tank the ability to hover up in the air for a split second like a cruel joke.
Ya, how about I just float up right into their laser sights while I'm at it. Wouldn't want the pilot to hurt his hand moving his joystick to kill me.

If that tank could barrel roll it would have been a bad bitch.
re: Did Star Fox blow your mind?Posted by Scruffy on 3/28/13 at 9:16 pm to Patrick O Rly
It could roll on the ground.

I never played the 64 version, but I played many hours of the SNES one. I thought it was the greatest thing ever. Now I look back and it and it had a famerate of like 10 fps.
