A good qb in this years draft class that screams out as decent. Could the saints wait for Carlson Palmer to be release and sign him to a small contract. He said he is willing to be a backup to a contender then take a pay cut on a sorry team that he is playing for right now. Every qb in this draft is a project. Not one qb to me has any scary talent. Calson Palmer could be a good vet backup aka just like Brunnel was untill the young guy we take in the draft gets taught.

Brunnel held the shite out of some FG's.

Why would Palmer take a minimal salary to be a backup when he can make a decent salary and start for close to ten teams?

Carlson wouldn't be a bad backup. I think we need to add James Harrison, Karlos Dansby, Brett Grimes, Nmandi, & DeAngelo Hall first. Some of them would be pretty good backups.

He said he only take a pay cut if he was with a contender. Oakland will release him soon. Just playing under an elite guy like Bree's should make Carlson want to come here and hold a clip board.
