What ya'll think?

I've got to say...it is pretty damn good. Maybe because my expectations have been lowered over the years.

I'm a huge DM fan, but I do not like it. I'm really disappointed an the moment. I've give it a few more listens just to make sure.

haven't had a chance yet to check it out in full. But I've streamed them live from SXSW and liked what I heard. I'm not sold on the single their pushing but the other stuff seems OK.

The non-singles are better in my opinion.

Don't get me wrong, their days of Violator/Black Celebration/Music for the Masses are over, but...this was a pleasant surprise.

It started off kinda slow and I thought to myself "Here we go again...another Exciter or Songs of the Universe..." but it picked up and got stronger and stronger until the end.

Helps also that there are 17 songs to add to it.

Delta Machine is very, very good album. The proper album plus the bonus tracks makes this a very strong effort. Much better than SOTU and PTA. It's the best album since Ultra. Broken reminds me of Music For the Masses era and there is a great ebb and flow to the entire album and Dave's vocals on Delta Machine are fantastic. Could do without Soft Touch/Raw Nerve as it is almost an embarrassing song by any band. It's the only one I skip.

Looking forward to the concert in Houston for this tour again and bringing my 15 year old nephew who has become a huge fan of Depeche.

I'm almost afraid to listen.

I fear I will be disappointed.

Thinking about buying the vinyl LP. It comes with a n mp3 download card.

If you are expecting Violator, you will be disappointed. If you want a solid DM release you will not. Dave sounds great, as do some of the grooves/melodies. Much of it is too simple for my taste.

Honestly, there are newer synthpop type bands I'd rather listen to. This music is undergoing a big resurgence. Much love and respect to DM, but out w/ the old and in w/ the new!

Just cue it up in Spotify, moon. You wont be too disappointed, if at all.

You're right.
De/Vision has become my current favorite.

As are Mesh and Iris to name a couple more.

Just listened for the first time on YouTube.

This is not the Depeche Mode I grew up with.

I won't say it's terrible, but nothing really stood out or impressed me on this album.

Maybe a 2nd or 3rd listen will yield better results, but I'm just not feeling this at all.

Like it. My one complaint about DM is that I always found their albums uneven. Some really excellent songs wrapped around a few that don't fit the sound of the complete album.

The new album sounds pretty consistent throughout, and I like it after a few listens

Exactly my thoughts. Definitely not the DM of old. Nothing will top Black Celebration, Music For The Masses, Violator, or SoFaD. Just my opinion of course.
