Hey brothers just got off the phone with the drivesource. He tells me we're about 7-9M OFF Nnamdis price TAG. It looks like we're only offering him a 1-2 year deal that helps us with the transition of the new D and helps him by OFFERING FA next year if he re-establishes himself. But he will probably OPT to go with the longer term deal as well as play with a title contender in the BAY area.

But seriously, no way he gets that kind of money, especially if it is just between us and SF.

San Fran has even less money to work with than us and he might not even be their #1 corner.

I think the whole "playing with a contender" thing in regards to San Fran is overblown. Well be just as much of a contender as anyone next year.

There were reports we're offering more money. Money means nothing unless it's guaranteed. 7-9 m more a what? Over 8 years? 2 years?

Not sure why all the reports are saying our deal is better than SF's. What are they offering him? The vet min for 3-4 years?

SF will still probably be in worse shape than us in 3-4 years considering Kaepernik is still on his rookie deal.

I'm guessing you're still IN, since you didn't announce yourself OUT.

This makes no sense to the situation....

1) If it were that big of a difference and everyone was so sure SF was the title contender, his decision would have been made a long time ago.

2) All of the reports have been that he is completely torn between both teams...if he is torn then the contracts have to be almost identical and I doubt they are either one year deals or more than 3 years. Both teams are strapped or cash so it's going to be a multiple year deal with the first year being cap friendly.

3) All report have said the Saints are pushing hard to get him...there is no way if they were 7-9 mil off they would be "pushing hard". That's Kruger money and his price tag was too high for the Saints.
