Go to DI's Cajun Restaurant between Basile and Evangeline, on LA 97 South of US 190, and enjoy some boiled crawfish.

My sister's house in L'Anse Meg. She's having smothered stuffed ponce with rice and field peas. Pass on her cornbread though its SO dry.

Boudin from eunice poultry. Or if you want a sit down, DI's as mentioned earlier is very good cajun food with a great atmosphere. Get there early early this weekend. It will be retarded busy. 430 would probably not be too early. Eunice is 20 minutes away from elton, la. Busters crawfish does all you can eat for $20. Elton is one big rice/crawfish field. Amazing crawfish at busters.

Some of the best boudin in the world is at redlich's cash and carry in basile. You can also get t-bays sausage there. It is also one of the last places in LA to get slush puppies.

Hmm, how have I never heard of this place?

I always end up at Hawk's, but their prices over the past few years have become ridiculous, and the crawfish aren't nearly as big as they were 8 or 10 years ago.

I do like D.I.'s and Mowata Store, as well. I might be in that same area this weekend; thanks for the other boudin/sausage recs!!

Just called Busters to see when their ayce crawfish was. It's 29.99 (not 20) every day from 5-9.

Hmmm. They must have gone up for Easter or something. It was 20 earlier in the season. I can vouch for their taste though. Great crawfish. Get there really early though!

Go to the T-Boys satelite store & stock up on boudin & sausage, cook some of that & you won't need to go anywhere else to eat.
