Johnny has to have a couple transfers in mind after what happened this week. I'd imagine we hear something relatively soon.

I would go after Richaud Pack and call it a day.

I agree. He's done exceptionally well thus far with what Trent left him. Lsu's future is bright

@JonRothstein:

Houston transfer Danuel House will visit UNLV next week, source told @CBSSports. Has already visited UCLA + South Carolina. LSU also in mix.

I wonder to what extent. Haven't heard anything about anyone besides Deng Deng visiting campus.

I know. With the talk of transfers, I'm a little surprised we haven't heard of other visitors. It's still relatively early though.

Exceptionally well in what way? Johnson's last year ended in the NIT. Jones missed the postseason entirely his first year and ended in the NIT in his 2nd. Where is the exceptional part?

And please don't say recruiting, since that has nothing to do with what the previous coach left him.

People act like LSU was coming off of Baylor-like sanctions when TJ left. When JJ came in he had on his roster an SEC Freshman guard in Hickey and two solid players in Stringer and JOBIII. That certainly wasn't enough to be a NCAAT team, but it was a decent foundation. JJ did a decent job cobbling things together for a .500 season (in a weak SEC) in year one. In year 2 he put up nearly the exact same record with a team that had a good mix of experienced uperclassmen and talented freshman again in a weak SEC. His recruiting has given LSU the "potential" to move forward as a program. But to this point, the performance on the court hasn't been astronomically better than TJ who, though he had many faults, did win an SEC title at LSU.

I lost a lot of confidence in the coaching staff last season. But this upcoming season is the measuring stick for CJJ

Done exceptionally well in turning an absolute shite roster into a respectable one. Can't win the SEC with 5'10" guards who can't play a lick of defense.

House was only a sophomore. Not a graduate transfer.

Pretty sure Houston getting a new coach allows him to transfer without sitting out

What about 6'8" forwards who play even worse defense? Go back and watch games from this season. As a whole, LSU was a poor a fundamental defensive team as I've ever seen, but there were two significant players who were exceptionally bad in man and zone. Hint: The two guys I'm talking about aren't below 6'0 tall

JOB3 and Martin? Yeah they weren't good defenders. I agree with you that the team was terrible defensively as a unit.

But the main reason for that is having terrible defense from your guards. Whoever Stringer (and Hickey to a certain extent) guarded had an All-Day-Pass to get inside the lane. That would cause JOB/Mickey/Martin to repeatedly run off their man to play backside D. That's why the bigs were in foul trouble a lot and why teams had wide open attempts from deep and at the rim.

I'm hoping that Gray/Hornsby/TQ55 will improve that this season but if they don't progress then it's CJJ's fault.

Have any of you guys seen Dede Martinez play? She signed with Alabama today and played highschool ball at Edna Karr.

She signed with Tulane in the fall, how did she get out of her scholarship?

I don't know much about her, but here's the article about her signing LINK

I've asked on other boards about how she got out of the LOI and nobody seems to know. I saw where a reporter said it was a mutual split, but who knows.

Which future Karr football prospect is she dating/related to?

Just kidding, kind of.

Who is mad?

And let's try this a 3rd time:

Recruiting has nothing to do with what was left by the previous coach. So what has Johnny jones done exceptionally well with what was left to him?
