LSU's original was contingent on him be able transfer after 1 year (so he'd have 3 years to play). He wasn't able to get it all in order and he was pushed to the 2014 class.

we wanted him to be able to graduate from juco early to have 3 years of eligibility but it didnt happen.
it really would have been nice to have calvin godfrey though. hate that that one didnt work out for us.

I was hoping Deng Deng would come in play for us, he had a REALLY good season this year in JUCO. Would be an instant upgrade over Odo. Granted we are currently 1 over already so getting him would have to mean another person is leaving.
Also Florida just landed 2015 SG KeVaughn Allen out of Arkansas (Arkansas' top rated recruit). I wonder if this helps us with Blakeney. Although I definitely dont want to lose Sampson, I think he has to be our priority this class (after keeping Ben Simmons, of course).
Maybe I missed the story on Melvin Frazier, but why do recruiting sites love him so much yet he doesnt really have offers?

Looks like Nebraska to me. But he wants to make sure. Hope I'm wrong and Pattie works his magic

He's a tweener. Built like a forward, but only 6'4". He has been improving his shot and others skills which is why he's getting attention. He reminds me a lot of Michael Qualls at Arkansas. As a freshman, he could dunk and that's about it. This season, he started hitting some outsides shots.

Was at walkons saw Deng Deng there with Jordan Mickey, David Patrick, Korey McCray, and another older white guy I guess another coach.

How did he compare physically with Mickey?

They were sitting down so I can't say. Only thing I can is that they were there for atleast 3 hours maybe longer and looked to be having a good time.

After checking out the coaching staff pics it was Tom Kelsey. Leonard gone baby! Not McCray!

I was curious about this as well. Also, anyone know how much the staff likes Deng Adel? Seems like he'd be a natural target for Jones & Co.

Apparently, we've been recruiting him hard. It'd be nice to have someone to fill-in for Martin/Mickey down the road.

I was surprised to see that as well. Coach Jones has been great at recruiting big men though. Wouldn't be a huge shock.

Ben Simmons 6'9" 230 SF Montverde Acadamy, Australia 2015
Ben Simmons
Simmons was the best player in Sacramento this weekend. He is a lefty with a game that can only be described as smooth. He has made the transition to the small forward position seamlessly and he is just scratching the surface of how good he can be. He has a feel for the game that cannot be taught and can see the game at a different level than most people. He can shoot the long ball, rebound, handle and is a great passer. He can dominate a game without scoring. He is committed to LSU and will bring that program a much needed energy that they haven't had in quite some time. Simmons is special and has #1 pick talent. It will be an interesting battle for the #1 spot in the 2015 class between Simmons, Ivan Rabb, and Malik Newman.
