You couldn't be more spot on. I know the kid personally, the AAU organization I coach for and the one he has played for since 8th grade are very involved with each other. He is a great talent, but has serious maturity and anger issues. He can completely take over a game or completely disappear if you get into his head.

Another crazy line tonight: C Aaron Epps (@SixNinePhenom): 20 PTS, 17 REB, 13 BLK for Tioga vs Rapides

Epps is going to end up averaging a triple double.

Without much trouble too. I wish I could see the box score of his games.

Found this Malik Newman article (w/video) on the Lexington Courier Journal
quote:
Kentucky recruit Malik Newman fits in as the star on high school team
Dec. 10, 2013
For Malik Newman, the nation's top-ranked high school basketball player in the Class of 2015, this season holds high expectations. As a highly recruited Division I prospect garnering attention from the University of Kentucky, North Carolina and UCLA, Newman strives to elevate his game and be the key factor that sets Callaway (Miss.) High School apart from other programs in the country.
However, these high expectations aren't limited to Newman alone. After winning back-to-back State Championships in 2012 and 2013, talk of a three-peat is natural for a basketball program with so much talent.
Under first year head coach David Sanders, Callaway has struggled to find its identity through the early part of this season and is relying on each player to live up to his role in order for the team to get back to the Class 5-A title game.
On this episode of 'Beyond the Game,' meet the players that make up the 2013-14 Callaway Chargers — a group that, with its superstar teammate, strives to remain the best program in the state and make history again this season.

34.4% from 3 is equivalent to 51.6% from 2. Pretty close to his 52.6% shooting from 2.
For the record, I know you're kidding, but it's worth pointing out.

Just saw Epps play at the Sunkist tournament at STM. This kid is the real deal and I can't wait to see him play in purple and gold!!
A team that got added late to the tournament has a sophomore that is suppose to be Top 20 in the nation in his class. His high school is called Quitman or something like that out of Mississippi. He went head to head with Epps of Tioga and held his own.

Epps is definitely underrated by the services currently. His length/athletcism alone is good and his basketball skill has developed well in the last half year or so.

Anyone going to see the University Lab-L.W. Higgins game today? Definitely some prospects of interest in that one.
