Yes, if a run rule was agreed upon before the game it wouldn't have been after 8 innings. Also- the announcers were shocked.

Announcers said they were not aware of any run rule agreement. And if there was one it was accepted by Tulane before the game.

Dude - 10 run rule is not an NCAA rule. It was agreed upon by the coaches to be put in place. GFY.
