Might do it. It is the kids' first trip to New Orleans and I'd like to have at least three or four remarkable meals while we're there.

If you can get in there, they will enjoy it. The Easter Bunny goes to every table. Jazz group takes requests and plays around the tables.

I saw that Red Gravy is open for Easter Brunch with their brunch menu and some specials. I haven't eaten there, but it might be an option. Google as I believe it has a website.

RG has a VERY loyal tripadvisor following.

I've had lunch a couple times - it was good. No complaints. Small place, and the owner/chef clearly puts herself deeply into the food and experience. Gives it a bit of "home" feel to it.

working in the area its a place that i keep on the facebook like list so i can get the daily specials and updates...

it seems like i often see little things like homemade seasonal jam for sale, i know they just got the ability to sell booze and there were a few posts about how she was trying to really put a lot of thought into each and every selection in the wine list so she could be really proud of it. The owner/cook will come out to tables, and i know she chats with folks on the tripadvisor forums....

i havent tried a lot of stuff there, and i wont say that it totally blew me away, but it was definitely good food. italian home cooking always hits a nice spot for me. ive seen some more complex stuff hit the specials and ive been curious to go back and see the execution as ive done more the standard lasagna, meatballs, etc...

between the quality being high, and the fact that it seems to be a passion project and not just a job - id certainly go back.
