I think PG is our biggest need.

@heady the Anthony Davis thing makes me think this is sarcasm. I'll go with that

Might be a slight exaggeration, but my point was, he wasn't just getting lucky tonight. He moved the ball very well

I saw most of his passes on highlights and they did look great

I didn't like roberts to start the year but he's grown on me

re: Brian Roberts Single handedly proves my point

Roberts played great no doubt about it. He's definitely going to warrant serious consideration in terms of bringing him back next year as a spark plug guy off the bench. Also interesting to see how the team plays with a pg who isn't so ball dominant and is a little quicker. That being said its only one game, Anderson, miller, and mason shot the shite out of the ball. Even if they're wide open they won't shoot this well most nights. And Denver was forced to play their backup 37 year point guard most of the game, and have been struggling in the couple of games since Lawson got hurt

$800k team option next year, there was no doubt that we would bring him back even before this game.

Roberts passes looked like that of a true PG. Generals alrhough effective dont seen to travel like Roberts passes last night.
Lets see what Monty does given Grevis ankle and the point of the season were at.

Cant we like and have both guys??

I don't think any consideration needs to be given. He's this year's Lance Thomas, only he has the potential to produce more than energy. He'll be back.

oooohhh no buddy!! Dont downplay miller's game he's still a solid pg and very good at running their o. They should have played us alot better since we were down the starting 1&2. Hell, our rookie sf & undrafted r pg with few mins under their belt started and ran the o. And this type of shooting is what you get whet guys get the ball in stead of chasing the pg. We have been hearing and seeing all year how versatile denver is and if they had any chance to rebound and show off, it should have been last night. Oh wait, we had great playmaking pg skills for a change.

I agree. I would say to bench vasquez and start roberts but we need GV to increase his value for when we trade him this offseason.

if that is the case that the team's going to look to trade him, then wouldn't you say his stock is as high as it's ever going to be?

Andre miller is still good but I'm sure the extended minutes lessen his effectiveness. Not to mention he benefits greatly from playing with Lawson bc he's such a change of pace. That being said I was referring more to his defense, and realistically if Lawson had been playing it wouldn't have been as easy for Roberts to do what he wanted. Finally, Darius and mason shot 8/10 from 3 point range. I don't care if their PG is magic Johnson and they're playing a HS basketball team they probably wouldn't shoot 80% on ten or more attempts

He's the first DLeague level guard that has lasted more than a few months (RIP Squeaky). Would you rather cycle through some more DLeague guards next year or stick with a guy that already knows the system and has proven he can produce?

re: Brian Roberts Single handedly proves my point

Just asking. He is a shoot first type of guard so the 18 assist is a fluke. I enjoyed having him on the team when rivers couldn't get out of his own way earlier in the season. Now I think rivers has progressed enough to move into backup pg roll after some work in the offseason. And would be more of a scorer and defender than Roberts.

re: Brian Roberts Single handedly proves my point

I see Roberts coming back as the 5th guard, maybe even the 4th if we lose Mason. If Rivers progress there shouldn't be any problem with Roberts taking his minutes.

Roberts gets too much flak on here (sans last night, obviously). He does like to chuck sometimes, but it's not like a JR Smith chuck where he can have 2 or 3 defenders on him and just throw it up anyway. He takes good, open shots. He just takes a lot of them. He's very good for a UDFA.

im do not want to take anything away from Roberts night he had a fantastic game and he has shown improvement that we can be proud of

keep in mind that Ty Lawson did not play last night, he torched Greivis last time we played the Nuggets mainly because of his athleticism and ability to get by the General

Greivis couldn't get past him at all...I would have liked to see Roberts against Lawson

While I applaud B Roberts for his night Lawson was not out there
