is it just me, or is it kinda ridiculous?

when I finally get mine, it'll be a 45 and nothing else

People who carry a 1911 daily might get the 22 for training purposes to save money on ammo. It's also a good way to break a kid in on a 1911

Plinking, same as any other 22 pistol.

People buy and shoot guns other than for just killing people. A .22 is much cheaper than a .45 to shoot.

I want a Kimber conversion kit for mine just to shoot it more but to save money. And so the SO can shoot it a bit more.

My dad bought a Kimber from one of his friends. It only had a .22 conversion and no .45 slide. It was a blast to shoot but got dirty quickly.

One should never need a reason to justify buying another .22.

What is the point in having a 1911 without a conversion .22 kit for it?
