Everything paid off except the raptor.

Isn't the insurance eating you up?

5 vehicles is probably at the limit - you're going to have to sell something, eventually.

The lightning looks like the low hanging fruit - if you were pressed to sell something, but I have a feeling you like it the most...

Insurance is bout 400 a month.

Yes the lightning is my fav. I kinda want my kids to drive it when they get old enough.

I know i only need two, one for my wife and one for me. But for the last few years, as soon as i pay one off i want another one.

Do i need an intervention?

Everybody else(normal ppl) that i know, trade there old vehical in on a new one, or sell then buy used.

If i keep em over 10 years is that good or bad?

Do you want to sell any?

Do you need to sell any?

If the answer is yes to either then sell some.

If the answer is no to both then why ask the question.

Personal opinion.

Everyone has excess at some point in their life. Yours happens to be cars. None seem to be the type of car that will hold value, much less go up, and for the most part automobiles shouldn't be an investment.

All that said, I don't think many people have 5 cars for two drivers. I find it hard to justify just having a 3rd vehicle between me and the wife. Does that mean you should sell just because other people don't think it is right? Sure, if you want other people making you decisions over the Internet.

btw, the OT is the place to flaunt your wealth....well relative wealth.

Out of those, I'd dump the Fiesta - the money it is "saving" you on gasoline, is probably costing you that in insurance. It also has the greatest potential for depreciation. I would alternate driving your older cars to work.

The only caveat it is - IF you drive a long way to work, and really, really need an efficient 4-banger, then sell the Cobra or the lightning. You're not going to get anything for the F-100 and that could turn into a child's school vehicle. The Cobra is going to kill you when try to insure teenage drivers anyway.

I think 5 is the limit, and that's assuming you've got a teenager coming up on a driver's license test in a year or two. If you want to cut to 4 - figure out which vehicle you drive the least OR which one you like the least.

If you're loaded and don't want to sell anything - don't worry about what everybody else says. I know a crazy lawyer that owns about 20 cars.

Sorry, seemed like you were wanting justification from others for your vehicles. For what reason you want others to justify your lifestyle, I don't know.

I just don't get the point of the thread. If you like all the cars and don't want/need to sell them, then don't.

I suspect he is only full coverage on the Raptor and Fiesta and liability on the rest. There is a certain amount of discount because the companies know you can only drive 1 car at at time. He's still paying to carry them, but it does get cheaper with every car you add.

You're not carrying comp on the Fiesta?

Definitely sell that one.
