SS is really the only spot that I could use a decent upgrade. Hanley is coming back for you so it wouldn't hurt as much to give up a SS.

You still have my e-mail? We can discuss

Yall must think I'm retarded. No I will not trade you a producing outfielder (2.8ppg) for your non producing outfielder (1.7 ppg) who just landed on the DL.

I thought it was a good buy low for you considering your record and mine....was not a trade rape trade at all, IMO.

A buy low is when you get someone with high potential by not giving up a lot of value. Even when both of these guys are playing well, they are very similar. Both averaged 2.8 last year. A buy low would be me giving up someone who (who doesn't have a high ceiling) is doing better than Stanton right now, but Stanton obviously has the higher ceiling, hence the buy low.

Even if he comes out of his slump, I'll be getting value equal to Holliday; so why trade for a guy in a slump/DL when it will probably not be an upgrade over the guy I gave up

I did. Sorry I came off as an arse. Like I said, I go by numbers since I don't know players so seeing a 2.8 vs 1.7/DL, it got my feathers ruffled (combined with Jame's solid offer) . I looked back at last years stats and saw that stanton was pretty good, but doesn't look like an upgrade over Holliday.

i'm looking at your trade offer am I missing something? you want one of my guys who avg 2.5 pts per game for your guy who averages 1.7 pts per game and also has this next to his name

quote:

Considering that a few weeks is the best-case scenario, it's entirely possible that Stanton will be out longer

i'm no baseball guru as everyone knows so there has to be something i'm missing

is he trying to daryljames us or is this guy really good to where it would be worth giving up multiple weeks for him?

eta: just checked the stats from last year for comparison my guy averaged 2.9 and Stanton 2.8. me thinks he's trying to take advantage of our lack of baseball knowledge.

I want to make a trade with you for a pitcher or two but I honestly don't know the batters for pitcher trade value enough to know what constitutes a fair deal.

with a pitcher you get 1 start per week if he fricks up he's pretty worthless. with batters you get damn near every day. I don't like this pitcher scoring shite

I'm kinda the same way. I wanted to upgrade my SS, but lately my slumping SS has turned it around big time

Daryl- that was a better offer. Still don't want to do it. I'm not trading Price since he hasn't had the best start to the year

you don't do a good job at it. I don't think I've seen you make one successful trade attempt in any league
