Poor wording, but the premise isn't 100 percent incorrect. It would be hard to narrow down the answer to that question in one sentence, however. Sounds more like an essay question.

Incorrect. The correct answer is D: they hate us for our freedoms.

It may not be a "feel good" answer, but it is true. This is the basic "blowback" theory.

I don't have a problem with the question and answer. I just have a complete lack of faith in public high schools to correctly teach that concept.

The question is rather simplistic but it is true that some people respond to decisions in that manner. That doesn't mean it is the best or most constructive way to react, but yes.

OTOH when you're the most powerful nation on the planet it's pretty much impossible to avoid hurting someone out there.

Think about what you just said.

Our actions have justified killing innocent women and children?

You're reading comprehension skills suck.

Neither the question nor the answer allude to "justification."

We are everywhere, have been doing pretty much what we want to shape/control the globe's power structure and our corporate interests...so yeah, people who live in these areas aren't wrapped up in the gobbledygook of our collective American jingoism flag waving we blindly do at sporting events...hiding behind slogans.

They see us as a "country" in the loosest sense that is run by money - and protects and it's leadership is "encouraged" to further giant corporate interests and so that answer isn't far off.

Does anyone really not understand why Odumbf*ck's Komrades and PURE F*CKING FILTH like Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dorne go into elementary and secondary education?

Do people with an IQ above 10 (sorry Rex, VOR, ottotheretard -- you're all excused) really think they just viewed it as a calling to help young people???

These SCUMBAGS view it as a their method of indoctrination. Goebbels would be so proud of what the Democrat party has become -- and especially their "methods".

It's only 'we' when it was a bad decision. Otherwise it would be 'I'. Politics 101.

That should be an essay question because answers to the question can be found as far back as the foundation of Islam in the 7th Century. The blowback theory is a good one but it doesn't explain everything. I doubt us stealing oil from Arab nations motivated those 19 men to kill themselves by ramming jet aircraft into buildings on 9/11.

Your common sense sucks. Read the Q&A again. It puts 100% of the motivation for terror attacks on the actions of the USA.

Take the politics out of it. If I asked you "Why might referees be a target of violence after a game?" and said the correct answer was "Because of their own poor officiating", does that not imply that attacking an official is justified, rather than addressing the deplorable nature of the attacks themselves?

Seriously?

I would love to hear the specifics of this theory.

Wrong.

Islamic Facists use the Q'ran to allow them to rape/kill/pillage any person who is not a follower of Islam.

I could write a narrative essay on the supposed "Religion of Peace" and its early years but I wouldn't want to bore you. Just know that it is in their nature.
