It's a dallas joint. Food is legit but is pricey for the small portions

Has a cool vibe and you can get buffalo or elk.

Burger fries and drink is about $15

Can we please get more restaurants in Shreveport? There aren't enough boarded up ones.

Nope. It wasn't terrible or anything, but I've eaten there twice and it was not very good. I enjoy the bar area though.

Ross, I believe there will be a full bar. There will absolutely be a patio with TV's on which to drink beer. Finally there will be a place to watch College football outside that isn't Buffalo Wild Wings.

I actually did. We sat in the bar and I got the Korean Flank steak and it was pretty darn good. The bartender surprisingly made a mean Old Fashioned. I forgot that place existed, but it was crowded on a Friday night so I guess others didn't.

great news

just not fond of the location

I hate that it seems that everything is starting to move south towards Ellerbe and that area

Given the size, I don't know where else it could reasonably be. It's about 1 acre of new construction, I can't think of an acre any more North along Line Ave that would be easily procured. And forget Youree. Also, it splits the distance between South Highlands and Southern Trace/Providence (where the owner lives), with Spring Lake right next door.

Shreveport is like Sim City: let one area get neglected for a second and it's decimated. Look at Mansfield Road. I remember 15 years ago when that was the hot spot. You had Olive Garden and Books a Million and all the other chain restaurants. Then Youree exploded and here we are: Anytown USA. I think the development along Line (everything from Uptown Shopping Center to Ashley Ridge and on down to Providence) has been much more thoughtful and sustainable. One needs only to look at the empty square footage left by Circuit City & Linen & Things going out of business to see the future of those shopping centers. What happens to University Shopping Center when Best Buy folds in 2015? Maybe some mega church will take over like they did at South Park Mall.

Yeah I heard it will be a great place to watch games - and the construction area they are building on is huge so hopefully it will be a large patio. It's a bit of an odd location, but its much closer to my neck of the woods than a lot of new places, so I'm happy.

I live off Ellerbe in South Shreveport.. and I have mixed feelings about it as well. I hate to see the development move towards me... but i am far enough south to still be happy and have space.

I also heard Dunkin Donuts will build one of their stores on the corner of Ellerbe and Flournoy Lucas.

Has anything been built across from Cush's yet? I thought a drugstore was going in there.

semi on topic but I noticed today that in the old Maggie Moos space on Youree theres some sort of sign in the window. It says coming soon and has a picutre of a burger. I couldn't see a name on it though.

Any of ya'll heard what it'll be? If its a burger joint, that's not a particularly good location with Cheeburger, Smashburger & Five Guys right there by it.

ETA: I guess it was a sammich, not a burger. Drew Brees will be happy...it's gonna be a Jimmy Johns. Bad news for Jersey Mikes and Especially Lenny's which is hanging on by a thread and now closes at 8 on weeknights.
