Burger Joint inside the le Parker Meridien hotel on 56th, Bouchon bakery at Columbus Circle, the hot chocolate at la Maison du Chocolate at Rock Center, and schlep into Hells Kitchen. For Sllivan St bakery.

The blog Midtown lunch is devoted to less expensive eats in that hood: LINK /

Go to Marea. Get the lobster burrata appetizer, the red wine braised octopus with bone marrow fusili, and then, the 50 day sirloin.

You're also near Lincoln, Jonathan Benno's Italian restaurant at Lincoln Center, which is great. Boulud Sud, Boulud Epicerie, and Bar Boulud are around there as well. Finally, I've always loved Telepan at 69th and Columbus. A great neighborhood restaurant, I've had some wonderful meals there.
