Whether you hate him or love him, cant deny that hes put the LSU brand out there. No other LSU coach and not many others around the country get as much pub as Les Miles.
I like Les, but they put Shaw on immediately after him, and the level of coverage & contirbution was ridiculous.
Comparing Shaw's ability to translate his personality via that medium as a competent ambassador for Stanford's program to Miles' ability to do the same for LSU is like comparing my ability to write this post with Bob Dylan's ability to write.
Yes, we both know how...But that's about where the similarities end.

Miles gets asked to cover the draft which is a great honor. Shitty lsu fans find someway to turn it negative and bitch.
Same shite different day with this horrible fan base.

Is that suppose to give credibility to your dumping on him?
The Negative Nancy's around never miss a chance to dump on a positive for LSU.

Will there be jazz music in the background while Les in on set?

I think one of his greatest strengths as a Head Coach in his position is to make sure his teams stay focused while also remembering to have fun. This program is full of energy and life and things like his Harlem Shake video-which I thought was a great idea-are perfect examples of that.
But when you're breaking down 2nd and 3rd Day draft picks on the NFL Network, I don't view that as a medium which Les excels at projecting what I'd like for him to. I apologize if your poor wittle feminine sensibilities were offended by me pointing out I prefer one guy's media delivery in comparison to our own in a big way.
Heaven forbid someone actually have an opinion and preference regarding how they want the school they love and support presented.
You take the good with the bad. In balance, Les' been great for the program. Is he above reproach or my honest criticism? Of course not.
Beyond that, WTF has it become inappropriate for grown men to express their opinions on an internet message board?
The sh!ttiest thing about our fans is the subset that don't allow for any objectivity, and paint any negativity as if they're a member of the Star Chamber and whoever's being objective or expressing a simple opinion is some sort've heretical lunatic.
Effing idiot.

And it is the sacred duty of many of the the posters here to present that criticism on a daily basis, drawing from their own extensive experience and knowledge and driven by the compulsion to prove it.
HUZZAH!!

Oh for pete's sake, lighten up.
It's a big plus for LSU having our HC on the NFL network during the draft.
If you can't figure that out, I'm sorry for you.
As to the other stuff that got your panties in a wad, chill out.

Let's see if I can distill it down for you.
Les is good for a laugh. He represents our University well.
Having Shaw come on immediately afterward to do the same for Stanford immediately makes Les look out of his league.
I don't come here every day saying it. But I do say it when the subject comes up and we're discussing it. Because its an opinion. Not because I have an agenda or I'm sitting here twisting a handlebar mustache with some damsel tied to a railroad track as the train puffs towards us.
People getting PO'd about folks being objective and lumping them in with their own stereotypes are being just as idiotic as those they wish to label and stereotype.
I do enjoy the way that the hypocritical out there will stand idly by while folks yammer, bray & whinny about folks not being negative and then tell you to calm down when you simply respond to the idiocy you're hearing initially.
Funny how that works.

Obviously. Hey, while we're on the subject, can you mix in some periods Mr. Casual-internet-poster?

Is that some more of you liking Les?
We get it. Les is a clown and your guy at Stanford is a fricking football genius because you like the way he does a spot on the NFL network better.
Let me see if I can wake up that sleeping brain of yours.
This is not about what you like or not. It's about associating the LSU HC with the NFL draft and the positive that does for our recruiting.
Anything that puts the spotlight on LSU during the NFL draft is a very good for LSU football whether you like your Stanford bud's approach better or not.
The subject was Miles joining the NFL network for the 2013 draft. You changed it to Miles makes me laugh, but he sucks compared to a guy on the west coast.
Why is it that a positive topic has to always be watered down?
