I remember doing these type of threads everyday during the lockout. I'll say what I said then. *ahem* Some progress has been made today, but remember this is a fluid situation. Lots of moving parts.

I'd like to see a veteran QB signed to back up Brees. Like we had with Mark Brunell. Maybe draft a guy in the 6th round or as an UFA and put him on the practice squad for a year or two then bring him in as the back up. I'll trust SP with the QB selection though.

Nothing happens.
He sees what the CB market is bringing (around 5mil a year) and he wants, probably in the 7-8 range). He will wait it out to see if someone will pay more, but they won't.
