of course all of this would include Miles letting go of his death grip on the playbook and allowing a true OC to call the plays, not an ex lineman

God I hope so. We've had some solid pass catching TE's in the past, but not in the last two years.

I just can't help but be excited.

I've said this before: you don't get Cam Cameron to come be your OC to run toss dive-toss dive-qb option- punt. I don't know if he has his sights on returning to the NFL, but a turd uncreative offense with LSU's talent aint exactly going to get many NFL teams excited.

I truly believe you are going to see a much more well rounded attack.

Correction, nothing has been learned until we see this "new offense" in an actual game. Right now it's all just hype to me
Until we see this offense in multiple SEC games.

If only Les lets Cam run the offense!

If we have even an average SEC offense this year I will be very pleased with Cam.

He inherited a mess of an offense, which is unacceptable considering our level of talent.

It is hard to change a culture, to tear down the old and rebuild it upon a solid foundation....but that is what will be required of Cam.

If he pulls it off, look out in a few years.

If you folks want to read about how Tony Dungy turned around Tampa Bay there is a Chapter in "The Power of Habit" by Charles Duhigg describing his method.

He used the latest science on psychology and turned around what was a terrible defense using mostly the same players by changing their reactions to stimuli on the field.....he changed their habit loops and broke their tendencies - a VERY hard thing to do.

Unbelievable story!!!!

I do believe Cam is the one person Miles will actually trust to run the offense and not meddle with it.

We'll still have to wait and see ...LSU better come out guns blazing earlyin the season, and hope we can notch Florida in Death Valley.

actually it's

blitz
throw deep
man coverage instead of zone
throw to the TEs and/or RBs (whichever your team doesn't do enough of)

I sort of favor the pitch to FB to the short side on 4th and 87.

j/k

What I hope Cam does also is to get Rivers, Jennings and Rettig some meaningful experience and playing time if possibe, because if everything goes right recruiting-wise - LSU is going to be so fricking stacked with skill people in '14,'15, and '16 it will be frightening.

What is it with LSU fans' obsession with getting so much playing time for the backup QB's?

Close. When you hear the words "halfback screen pass" then it will be time to grab the lotion.

Because Mett might have come into last season in better form if he had gotten some meaningful playing time in 2011.

Lee might have been able to contribute in the NCG if he had gotten some meaningful playing time after the Bama game.
