It's unreal. I've never seen a bigger collection of people who have such bad taste in movies and TV as there is on this board

Women in film should be limited to roles like the ones held by women in Reservoir Dogs, unless they get naked.

I'm still stuck on a movie that is essentially guys talking for 90 minutes having "redundant" violence. First off, what does that even mean? Do they kill people twice? There's one torture scene, in which the camera literally turns away, so most of it is in your mind. I don't get that criticism at all.

And the commode story is a brilliant piece of filmmaking. I mean, he's barking at me.

I know you seem to be trolling a bit, but even the slightest part of that statement is true, why do you even watch movies..?

just watched it again a few weeks ago, and time has done nothing to diminish the greatness of this film.

the funniest lines to me was Mr Pink complaining it sounded like Mr Pussy, but Mr Brown saying he might as well be called Mr shite slays me.

It's true. I walked out. Violence for the sake of violence is pornographic. Not my thing. As for the dialogue... forced and unnatural... tried too hard. Gimme a break.

Mostly for story. Wasn't much of that there.

This movie is the Pinnacle of Tarantino's career as a director...True Romance may actually be his best screenplay but RD is close...

The performances in this one are incredible and the casting of Lawrence Tierney and Chris Penn could not have been more spot on in semi-minor roles. Tierney absolutely makes the movie for me.

the use of the K-Billy's super sounds of the 70's with STephen WRight as DJ also kicks this movie into classic territory

That's the whole problem right there. You went in hearing nothing but praise, so it could not possibly live up to the standard

no, no, just no. The dialogue seemed so much less forced than almost anything else I have ever seen. Probably one of the first movies I remember thinking "damn, I could actually see this conversation happening on the fly without a script".

As for being 2 decades too late, I saw it for the first time probably 10 years ago and it is still one of my favorite films. Any time I see it on I almost have to finish it.

to the Diner and the torture scenes.
