It is one of, if not the coolest heist movie that I've seen and they never even show the heist. As far as dialogue goes, IMO it is Tarantino's best. Other than Buscemi (he is awesome in everything) the cast out did themselves. I just think it was a very well done nonlinear story. Just plain cool, one of my favorites.

As far as directorial debuts go for current working directors, it has to be one of the best.

Probably b/c you're seeing it two decades TOO late.

Hate to be that guy, but this is one of those - you had to have been there things.

Reservoir Dogs is effing incredible. It's really a PERFECT cast. And how can anyone not love the diner scene with Mr. Pink going off on tipping people?

It doesn't get better than Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs, as far was dialogue goes. jmo.

Don't forget True Romance as well....even though QT didn't direct it. It's still his screenplay and there is some amazing dialogue in that film. Tony Scott did a great job with it though.

Two decades too late? So, if I haven't seen it yet, should I see it or not?

Definitely a must see, Tarantino's best for me. As Carson said, the dialogue is outstanding.

It's all about context. Consider that these were the top movies that year

1 Aladdin
2 Home Alone 2: Lost in New York
3 Batman Returns
4 Lethal Weapon 3
5 A Few Good Men
6 Sister Act
7 The Bodyguard
8 Wayne's World
9 Basic Instinct
10 A League of Their Own

The style and direction of RD was a picasso buried under a pile of dog shite. The non linear timeline, the gore, the perfect cast, the quirky humor. It's a spectacular film

Better yet, its witnessing the birth of a brilliant filmmaker
