Alligators? Like immediately releasing them. When you hear about people riding around on go devils just grabbing small gators for fun and then putting them back--are they breaking the law? Might be a stupid question but google didn't help much.

I'm pretty sure it's against the law to remove any from their natural habitat or harass them.

How would you define harassing an alligator though? Grabbing one, throwing it in the boat and then poking it with a stick for 30 minutes?

The way I see it, we gently pick them up from the water, pet their beautiful scaly hide, and release them back into the wilderness.

Yeah it's illegal to disturb animals at this point. They literally are more protected than we are.

It's illegal to cuss at, throw rocks or sticks at or stick your toungue out at an alligator in the state of Louisiana. But if you have a tag you can put a bullet through its skull.

I caught a small one on a Ribbit frog a couple years ago, fought like a mofo, pretty fun, got him to the boat, and partner grabbed the tail, gator flips his shite, throws the hook and hauls arse for deep water. I just wanted to take a picture with him...I know CSB, but to answer the OP, I have no idea.

Would the tour guide be "harrassing" the gators when they pull up to the big one and feed it marshmellows? Nothing natural about that.

You're definitely not supposed to feed any wild gators.
