Yelling at a player because he isn't playing well doesn't really bode well for Welter. Not sure how the author spun it the way he did.

I understand that in all honesty if a coach doesn't have any aspirations for a player then he really won't show him much attention.

Almost like a girl who you can never see as your S/O. Same concept. Welter did well in the Gauntlet though, he'll be a nice player in the rotation.

Coming from a retired High School football coach: if your not constantly coaching a player up/yelling at them then you usually don't care to much about them. If a player messes up and doesn't get yelled at thats when you need to worry cause obviously that coach doesn't give a shite about that player.

.

Oh yea by the way Maximus and Lester Earls please go home to your shanties and quit going watch practice every day, cause you obviously know more than all of the coaches combined.

The point here is Welter is getting a shot basically by default, and he's proving he's not good enough.

Do you not think Chavis gets on every player when they do things wrong? Lol, please. What planet are you living on? This is SEC football. Chavis is gonna shite down any player's throat who isn't doing their job.

Welter being yelled at is not positive. Of course Chavis hopes he's good enough, could he'd rather not move his LBs around,

Lester i agree w/ you that obviously he's yelling at him because he wasn't doing something right, but at the same time i understand the point the writer was making.

I agree that coaches do not waste time w/ players that they don't see potential from.

half of this madhatter's posts are about DJ Welter or ND of Crowley. And he talks about going to class with greg shaw because he has the same major. I guess a retired hs football coach went back to school.

I heard today that Louis has been getting reps this spring at the Mike. Can anyone confirm or squash this rumor?

I wouldn't think Lamar would fit well there. Need to be cerebral he seems like a really aggressive player that just would fire off the edge. JMO

I agree, just heard it from one of his friends. That's the first I had ever heard about him working the middle...wasn't sure if true or not. I definitely think he is better outside

that's stupid

Even if a kid is 3rd on the depth chart, the coaches know that they may eventually need them on the field. And even if they were to never play, they are their to practice and make the players better than will play.

All these kids were studs in HS. they see potential from all of them.
