How do we feel about "The Dictator"?

I actually preferred it over Sasha's Borat and Bruno because there were gags in those I thought were staged and ungenuine.
Yeah, some of "The Dictator" is juvenile and scatological and hit and miss, but he keeps tossing out outlandish jokes and gags and racist insults and a lot of it sticks.
Thumbs up.

I'm a big fan of SBC, but this movie was not that funny to me. I laughed at some parts, but the movie itself I thought was not that good.

I thought it was going to be horrible, but I got some laughs. It's a pretty generical Hollywood offering for the most part. He went ahead and used the studio's system that has worked for decades.

This board is incredible.
Everyday, we have an "Insert Mainstream Movie Here Sucks" thread, and yet not a single person has said anything negative about goddamn Borat.
I mean, there was a whole discussion last week on The Hangover being not that great/ Overrated.

Uh..have you considered that the reaction to Hangover is proportionate to the typical overreaction to it? Whenever you have a film a bunch of people talk about like GOAT status, there's going to be plenty of others that say no, no its not
It's like Nicklback/Bon Jovi syndrome. Obviously they're selling 100s of millions in cd's ,tickets, and other crap. But who admits to it?

I have not watched the Dictator but I was not a big Borat fan. The only funny portion of Borat was when he tried to molest Ron Paul in a hotel room and Paul was about to punch him.

Borat is one of my Top 5 comedies.
I also think the second half of Bruno is great.
