Apart from being a homer because we're both from New Orleans and that he went to LSU, where I'm at now, this dude is talented.
His Psalms of David mixtape is wonderful. Good flow, solid beats, and some nice features.
ETA: He is the best rapper to ever come out of LSU imo, not like that list is extravagant or anything

I used to be in a hip hop band that would have him, Tiny Archibald, Illegal Allias, and T-Bo from No Limit join us on stage throughout our shows.
No doubt, Dee-1 is going to do something good. It just may take a while for him, but as long as he doesn't give in, he'll make something out of his hustle.
I always smile when I see his name for a show. He also has played Jazzfest the past few years.
