Exactly

The sugar mill is an awful venue all around

ive seen a concert at the mahalia jackson theater and the hobby center. They both suck. The most miserable way to watch a concert is in assigned seating. The mahalia wasn't setup for it. I wouldn't expect a c-level baton rouge musician to know that though.

Allman brothers suck! They just played 11 shows at the beacon theater in nyc and it had assigned seats! The horror!

Still a better concert atmosphere than this. The sugar mill probably holds 3x as many people.

You're either a shitty troll or a miserable human being, either way you're the worst poster on this board. Any time anybody disagrees with your opinion, you have no retort, just call people names. Congrats!

you never answered my question. what didn't you enjoy about the shakes? do you not like their music? or do you like the music and just thought the show sucked?

Mahalia Jackson cap is 2k
Sugar mill can hold up to 3k but the sound is terrible

You are really dumb when it comes to talking about concerts and venues

Overall concert experience would have been a ton better at mahalia than the sugar mill.

Better sound.
Better seating.
Better everything.

It's not about what venue holds more people.

I'd rather pay $30 instead of $25 and go to a much better venue.

It doesn't. Not for the concert setup.

And that's not really the point anyways.

I saw edward sharpe and the magnetic zeros there, and it wasn't fun. I felt trapped in my seat the whole time.

I see what you're saying and its a valid point. It's preference really. I would rather see a concert at the sugar mill. The theivery corporation show there was really awesome. Alabama shakes is just not a very good live performance.

you'd be paying more like 70-80 dollars. You make a valid point, I just had a bad experience at edward sharpe.

watching an obese chick playing three chords isn't that cool live. I like there music but seeing them with that many people wasn't worth it. Sure are a lot of rustled jimmies in this thread.

I'm sure she was thinking, watching you passed out on the ground while playing said chords wasn't very cool either...

If the show was at mahilia jackson he wouldve had a seat to pass out in.
