well as of now:

hill = proven SEC RB

blue = unproven SEC RB

that's a factual statement is it not?

Make no mistake - Hill is #1. The only player Miles referred to as and Elite player in his Spring Training opening PC.

I do expect Blue to pick up where he left off however and get a lot of carries. Also Miles referred to his strategy in his PC to hold players back for the second half so we would have a top back in the game with fresh legs running against a tired D.

Nope...That 50 yard run vs Georgia was only because their D was tired!

I think thats a fair assessment.

Blue had 0 carries vs SEC opponents this season and only 51 carries total vs 9 SEC opponents in 2011. And most of those 51 were at the end of the game or in blowouts. So hes averaged 5.6 carries a game vs the SEC in the 2011 season which is the only season he got played SEC opponents. If you combine the 2 seasons, hes averaged 3 carries a game vs SEC opponents. And I get that he was injured and didnt get a chance to carry the ball vs SEC teams last year, but he still is an unproven RB vs SEC play. Not bashing on the guy either because hes a heck of a RB, just hasnt shown that he can be a great RB vs SEC teams yet and wont wear down. Im sure he can, but he hasnt done it yet. Hill has. Thats all.

Yea, he had a 48 yard TD vs UGA late in the game when they were down. You judge a player on 1 run? If thats the case, Magee is proven then. Ive seen him break 30+ yard runs vs SEC teams.

That is his reasoning, fwiw. The only reason he chopped up UGA in the SECCG is because they basically quit and were dead tired.

But hey, it's his story....

yeah, I don't really get that.

Hill proved himself this season against tough SEC competition as the main back. 30 carries against alabama etc...

not saying that blue can't be productive against SEC teams, he just hasn't done that.

unless you count 2 runs against georgia in the 4th quarter of a blowout game.

Ok. Then if imagine that Hill would have averaged 200+ yards against the teams Blue played against.
