Granted I would love to see Jeremy make a Heisman run, if Blue is back in full form, I have no issues with them splitting. What a combo. Who's starting is irrelevant.

I agree; Hill had a great freshman season; In fact, sharing the backfield with Blue will not diminish Hill, but will make him even better.

He just has the better all around game. He's not a better runner, than Hill IMO, but he has been the best blocker, chipper, reciever...just all around guy....He gives LSU its best chance at running, and passing, and keeping the D off-balance than anyone we got.

This.

All this talk about who is the best runner is a waste of time. They are both very good.

Right now the coaches are looking for the guy who can pick up the blitzes and block when he's NOT running the ball. Someone than can protect the QB.

Blue will be an effective change of pace, and passing down back. Hill will get more carries because he's better.

Let Hill do the heavy lifting and inside running.

Silly! You think maybe the other coaches will pick up on this tendency?

Certain positions, like rb, doesnt matter who is running with whom. Not a single one will get 100% of the carries.

I'm in no way anti Alfred blue but for fricks sake people... Jeremy hill is that best back we've had prob since Kevin Faulk.

This is a lil too soon to say this. Toefeild, vincent, broussard, addai, hester, scott, williams, hilliard were all touted as such.

Hill is a beast, he also was fresh by sitting out the year and not playing a full season yet. One thing ab our fanbase is we hype these kids, then turn on them when they dont have the season you thought they would.

I just want to know the thought process of not having hill run the ball in the 4th quarter.

I completely agree about our fan base getting excited about a young RB and hyping them up. 100% agreed.

That said, Hill is a more talented RB than everyone you mentioned. 6'2 235 RB that runs away from DBs in the open field. We haven't really had a RB like that at LSU. I think this might be his last year at LSU and then he'll be a 1st rounded if he gets his reps next year at LSU and I think he should.

Miles rarely has used a single RB at LSU, but once Blue went down it was all Hill for the most part. That's because he is way ahead of Hilliard, Ford, and Ware. Blue is closest to him, but Hill is still ahead of him. They both are head and shoulders above the rest.

And after the Cotton Bowl win against A&M, the majority of our fan base were touting Spencer Ware as a Heisman candidate. If Hill runs for 20 against TCU and Blue runs for 120, everyone here will be on ABs jock again.

1st quarter - 33 rushes
2nd quarter - 22 rushes
3rd quarter - 35 rushes
4th quarter - 52 rushes

Hah, yeah no.

For one thing they're different backs.. Hill is an all around destroyer in nearly every aspect but if you had to name his strongest suit it would be 1st and 2nd down punishment. Blue will probably be our change of pace 3rd down back.

But Hill is definitely superior at the moment.

Your ability to keep this debate going is beyond impressive. Especially when you can go absolutely no wrong with either one of them. It's just a matter of preference.

And from the looks of it on this board, other than you and TigermoronLee, no one would be upset with who starts. Everyone has a preference, but if it were a perfect world, it'd be a 34-33-33 split.

I think its really sad that our own fans are arguing and cussing out one another over saying one player is better than the other.

Football is a team sport.. no need to fight or argue

IMO. Watch both.

Basically identical backs.

...I would say Yeldon's slightly more elusive.
