Well I'm now starting basically from scratch on my iTunes, but I can deal with it since I think most my songs on the old iTunes sucked anyway. I don't necessarily need classic rock, but its my favorite genre. What are some recs on this board that I should build up my iTunes?

Gotta have Uncle John's Band and The Weight. First two I would have. And a shite load of Zeppelin and Allman.

Hey, NorthTiger...gotta love the Grand Funk Railroad! Seriously underrated, IMO!

My fave is "Footstompin' Music".

their 1973 album " Caught in the act " live is prolly one of the best live albums ever. Grand Funk was MUCH better live than their studio stuff fwiw.

to the OP

Trapeze

The Who

Mahogeny Rush

Frank Zappa

Ted Nuggent

Alice Cooper

You haven't heard this Zepplin song because it is a GFR song. Went back and looked at my playlist that I copied and pasted and it was misnamed on my playlist. I beg forgiveness.

"You kids don't know Grand Funk? The wild shirtless lyrics of Mark Farner? The bone-rattling bass of Mel Schacher? The competent drumwork of Don Brewer? Oh, man!" Homer Simpson

If the OP likes heavy guitar and frenetic pacing, I would also recommend some bootlegs from pink floyd or led zeppelin, like Floyd at Pompeii or LZ on 8/30/69, 1/9/70 or 10/10/69 which were all soundboard recordings, not audience crap.
